About this EML to PST converter A .pst file is an Outlook data file: a whole mailbox, or part of one, with its folders, in one file Outlook opens or imports. Emails saved one by one - .eml from Thunderbird, Apple Mail, Gmail or a web mail export, .msg dragged out of Outlook - and mailboxes in mbox format cannot be opened by Outlook in bulk, and the programs that convert them to PST are usually paid, limited to a few dozen emails in their free version, or Windows-only.
This page makes the PST itself, in your browser: every email keeps its sender, recipients, date, subject, plain and HTML body, attachments and pictures in the body, and goes into a folder named after the folder or mailbox it came from. The PST is written by this site's TypeScript version of PST Builder, an open-source PST writer whose files open in desktop Outlook without a repair prompt; a big conversion is written straight to disk as it goes. It is free to use, with no account and no upload limit, and it runs entirely in your browser: nothing is uploaded, and while the page stays open, a feature you have already used keeps working offline.

How do I import EML files into Outlook? Outlook has no bulk import for .eml files - it can only open them one at a time. Convert them to a PST here, then in Outlook choose File, Open & Export, Open Outlook Data File (or Import/Export, Import from another program or file, Outlook Data File, to copy them into your mailbox).
How do I convert MBOX to PST? Drop the mbox file here. A Thunderbird folder file has no extension - it is the file called Inbox, Sent or the folder's name in the profile's Mail folder - and Gmail's Takeout export is the .mbox file in the Mail folder of the download. Every message goes into the PST, in a folder named after the mailbox, or after its label for Gmail.
Does it work with Outlook for Mac or Outlook on the web? Outlook for Windows opens PST files directly. Outlook for Mac imports them instead: File, Import, Outlook for Windows archive file (.pst). Outlook on the web cannot open PST files; open the PST in Outlook for Windows with the same account added, and drag the folders into the mailbox to have them online.
How large can the PST be? Up to about 3.3 GB in one file. Chrome and Edge write it straight to disk, so any number of emails up to that size works; other browsers build it in memory, which suits up to a gigabyte or so. A bigger mailbox can be converted in parts, one PST each.
Are my emails uploaded to make the PST? No. They are read and the PST is written by your browser, on your computer, so private mail never leaves it. To read a PST, OST or MBOX without Outlook instead, use the PST Viewer or the MBOX Viewer ; to read single emails, the EML & MSG Viewer .
