Is there a free MindManager viewer?

Mindjet's free MindManager Reader is no longer offered. This page reads .mmap files for free on any device; MindManager's own trial also opens them for a limited time.

Can I open MindManager files on a Mac, phone or Chromebook?

Yes, here, in any modern browser. The map is drawn by the page itself, so nothing needs installing.

How do I get a MindManager map into Word or another mind-mapping program?

Copy outline gives you every topic as an indented list, which pastes into Word, Google Docs or an outliner; several mind-mapping programs turn a pasted indented list back into a map.

Is my MindManager map sent anywhere?

No. The .mmap file is read by this browser tab on your own device; nothing is sent anywhere.

About the MindManager file viewer

MindManager (once Mindjet MindManager) is a business mind-mapping program used for project plans, meeting notes and strategy maps, and its maps are .mmap files. It is sold by subscription, and the free MindManager Reader it used to offer has been discontinued, so a map sent by a colleague or client, or one from an expired licence, has no free way to be read.

This page opens the map inside the .mmap file, draws it as a map you can move around and fold, and lists every topic with its notes and links. It is free to use, with no account and no upload limit, and it runs entirely in your browser: nothing is uploaded, and once you have used it, it keeps working offline.

What you can do

See a MindManager map with its central topic, main topics, subtopics and floating topics
Move around and zoom, fold and unfold branches, and click a topic to read its notes and hyperlink
Read the whole map as an outline, or copy it as an indented list for a document or email
Save the map as a PNG picture or an SVG drawing

Task details (dates, priorities, resources), icons, pictures, colours and relationship lines are not shown; the map shows the topics and how they connect, with their notes.

Drop the .mmap file on the box above, or click the box and choose it.
The map appears; drag to move around it and scroll to zoom.
