No to both. Nothing appears on the invoice except what you typed - no logo, name or link from this site - and there is no count of invoices, no account and nothing to pay.

Can I select and copy the text in the PDF invoice?

Yes. The PDF is written with pdf-lib as real text in a font, so every name, number and amount can be selected, copied and searched, and an accounts system that reads PDFs can read it. Open it and try selecting the total.

How does the invoice work out tax?

With one rate for the whole invoice, which you type in. It is charged on the subtotal less any discount - and on the other charge too if you tick that box - and rounded once to the currency's smallest unit. The page does not know the tax rules where you are, so it is not tax advice: check the rate and the wording your invoices need with an accountant or your tax authority.

Where are my business details and invoices kept?

In this browser's own storage on this device, and only while Keep my details is ticked: your business details, logo, defaults, the invoice you are working on and the last number you used. About this invoice generator

Many free invoice makers stamp their name on the PDF, stop after a few invoices, or want an account before you can download anything. This one does none of that. Fill in your business and your client, add the work line by line, set a discount, a tax rate and any other charge, and the preview shows the finished invoice as you type. Download PDF writes a proper PDF whose words are real text you can select and search, not a picture of the page, and Print sends the same layout to a printer.

The invoice is put together in your browser, so the names, addresses, amounts and bank details on it are not uploaded. It is free, with no account. The PDF library, and for some alphabets and currency signs a font, are fetched from a public CDN the first time you download a PDF. Your business details can be kept in this browser so the next invoice starts filled in with the next number, and Save invoice file keeps a copy you can open here again to edit.

Makes: PDF invoices on A4 or US Letter paper, in 37 currencies and the number and date format you choose, with an optional logo (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or SVG), and as many lines as the job needs.
